Marian J. Tazzioli

Marian “Nuni” J. Tazzioli, passed from this life surrounded by her family while holding her granddaughter’s hand on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd at St. Theresa Catholic Church, located at 1230 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, where the family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until mass time. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Marian never met a stranger in her life; she loved everyone and was loved by all. The kindest of souls, Marian was always thinking about everyone else first. Her last few days were spent making trips to and from Hy-Vee to ensure her grandchildren and neighbors all had enough pumpkins and candy to adequately celebrate Halloween. Marian is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Jim (Linda) Tazzioli of West Des Moines, IA; daughter, Jeanne (Paul Gits) Tazzioli of Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren, Lindsey Tazzioli (Cody) Jacobsen; Stephen Tazzioli, and a world full of loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her adoring husband Marino. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marian Tazzioli’s memory to Mercy Hospice in Johnston or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
