Marilyn Hess

Marilyn Hess, 89, of Indianola, Iowa, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at The Village in Indianola. A private graveside was held in the St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Cemetery near Cumming, Iowa. Marilyn Joyce Gibson was born December 23, 1925 to Howard G. and Elizabeth L. (Karr) Gibson in Kossuth County, Iowa. Her marriage to Bernard “Bernie” Hess took place on January 12, 1952 in Des Moines. She was a retired homemaker and farmwife in Madison County and resided at The Village since 2002. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Debra Masocco and husband, Al of LaHabra Heights, CA, She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, Bernard Hess who died August 8, 2009 and four brothers, Donald, Duane, Harold and Marvin Gibson.
