Marilyn Hildebrand - Winterset

Gladys Marilyn Hildebrand, 81, of Winterset, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Care Center South in Winterset, Iowa. As to her wishes, her body was cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Her cremains will be interred at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County. Marilyn was born on October 31, 1932, at Redfield, Iowa to Lex and Gladys (Noel) Raber. She grew up in the Redfield area and was a graduate of Redfield High School. She was married to Norman Dale Hildebrand on November 14, 1954 at Winterset. Marilyn lived many years in Des Moines until moving to Winterset in 2011. She had worked as a clerk in the tax department for the State of Iowa. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Norman Hildebrand; daughters, Tammy Duff-Ott and Chris Ham; son, Dennis Hildebrand; brother, Howard Raber; sisters, Betty Golightly, Genevieve Partridge; six grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lex and Gladys (Noel) Raber; and several brothers and sisters. Memorials may be directed to her family.
