Marilyn Johns

Marilyn Nan (Davison) Johns was born in Centerville, Iowa on December 16, 1937 to Ivan and Betha Bernice (Duncan) Davison. She died on May 1, 2021 in Springfield, MO having lived there for 56 years. Marilyn was graduated by Corydon High School, Iowa in 1956. She was involved in several school activities including playing sports. Throughout her life she loved her family and friends, loved to read a good book, and loved to watch sports on TV. She was a gentle, kind, forgiving person. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Gene Wright (1972), Lawrence Johns (2012), and her brothers, Ronnie and JC Davison She is survived by her daughter, Tanna Oyler, her granddaughters Paige Oyler and Madison (Scotty) Adkins, and great granddaughter Emerson Layne, all of Madison, AL. Marilyn is also survived by her sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Russ Copley of Ankeny, Iowa, several nieces and nephews, and many, many long-time friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held in Minburn, Iowa on June 12, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery.
