Marilyn Dupuy, 75, of De Soto, passed away on September 30, 2018 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home – McCalley Chapel in Adel from 10 a.m. until Noon, with a prayer service starting at 11:30 a.m. Marilyn was united in marriage to Gary Dupuy on June 4, 1961 in Yale, IA. To this union, three children were born. Marilyn worked as a waitress, at Adel TV & Appliance, as a dispatcher for Dallas County, as well as in dietary departments in nursing homes. Marilyn also ran an in home daycare, where she became “grandma” to all the children she cared for. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Hulda Gibson; one brother, Jerry Lee Gibson; and her husband of 55 years, Gary. Survivors include her children, Todd of De Soto, Tim of Avoca and Angi of Tupelo, OK; granddaughters, Kayleigh of Holdenville, OK and Zoe of De Soto; sisters, Donna, Beverly and Connie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
