Our sweet mother, Marilyn Mae Mosley, sadly passed away at the age of 87. She was the BEST mom ever to five children and it was evident in the way she lived her life that family was everything to her. In the early days, she could be found supporting and watching her kids play various sports. She somehow never missed a softball game, was a scorekeeper when needed, and the most loyal of fans. Once her kids were grown, she spent time creating “Arts & Crafts by Marilyn” and selling her creations at various craft shows around Iowa. Marilyn was also a lifelong bridge player and a very good one at that. She was always up for going to lunch (as long as it was the Cheese Bar) with her children and grandchildren, and occasionally could be seen at Prairie Meadows.

Lots of fun and laughter are had at every Mosley family gathering, of which there are many, but they will not be the same now without are beautiful matriarch. She will be missed terribly and forever in our hearts. As she would always say, LUL (Love U Lots)!

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mosley, and son-in-law John B. McClavy. She was survived by son, Rick (Stacie) Mosley of Urbandale, IA; and daughters Terri McClavy of Clive, IA, Cathy (Patrick) Morrissey of Papillion, NE, Chrissy (Eric) Kiser of Tampa, FL, and Lisa Mosley-Ginn of Des Moines, IA; her 13 grandchildren Jodi Cooper, Buck (Heather Tew) McClavy, Brett (Nicole) McClavy, Matt (Keesha) McClavy, Zach Mosley, Taylor (Andrew) Busch, Lauren Morrissey, Max Mosley, Megan (Jon) Dunham, Riley (Taylor) Smith, Kasey Kiser, Brian Morrissey, Bailey Kiser, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 27 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322, from 5-6pm, with services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for charities to be determined at a later date.
