Marion A. Niblo

August 18, 1932 — May 19, 2007

Marion was born August 18, 1932 in Polk County, Iowa, the son of Dale and Edith (Roberts) Niblo. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1950 and later attended Drake University. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. During his working career, Marion was a farmer and also worked construction for many years. He is survived by his children, Cathy Allen (Bud) of Winterset, Doug Niblo (Kathy) of Waukee, Marty Niblo (Jodi) of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer Wederquist (Mark Washington) of Las Vegas, NV, Angie Brockway (Steve Krause) of Winterset, Jeanne Forsyth of Winterset; 19 grandchildren, Chad (Erinn), Wesley, Robyn (Cole), Jamie, Erin (Al), Jeff (Ana), Cade, Brian, Jaime, Tyler, Grant, Mollie, Nate, Justin, Whitney, Taylor, Cole, Harrison, Lindsey; and 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Mikyla. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Niblo. Marion was a member of the United Methodist Church in Winterset. He loved to visit with friends and tell jokes. He also enjoyed talking about politics. He liked to read, watch football and cook. But most of all, Marion enjoyed the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Marion died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Madison County Health Care System in Winterset. He was 74.
