Marion Art Robey was born November 2, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Marion and Lola (Willenborg) Robey. After the death of Art’s mother, his father married Clara Robey. Art graduated from Boone High School and later served his country in the United States Air Force. His marriage to Judy Naslund took place on October 29, 1961 in Stratford and to this union four children were born. He is survived by his wife, Judy Robey of Waukee; his children, Mark (Kristy) Robey of Tempe, AZ; Matthew Robey of Tempe, AZ; Joyce (Jim) Howland of Winterset; Marty Robey of Des Moines; two sisters, Jean Larson and Ruth McCreight both of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Jaime, Courtney, Nathan, Chris, Michael and Haleigh. Art was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother. During his working career Art was involved with agricultural sales with several companies. He was a member of the Wall Lake Baptist Church. Art’s greatest enjoyments were attending and participating in the Bull Dog Club of Central Iowa’s Activities, attending dog shows and watching his tropical fish. Art died Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the VA Medical Care Center, Des Moines. He was 70. Visitation: 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset, Iowa. Service: Memorials may be directed to a fund which has been established in Art's name. Memorial: Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Stratford.
