Marjorie J. Hardisty, 87, passed away on September 23, 2014. She was born and raised in Council Bluffs, IA. Marjorie graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1945. She married her high school sweetheart Arlen Hardisty in 1947. They had 1 daughter, Cindy. They lived in Urbandale before moving to Illinois and New Jersey and returned to Des Moines area in 1983. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen Hardisty. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Craig) Sandahl of Johnston; grandson, Eric Sandahl and a brother, Robert McCardle of South Carolina. She was a kind and loving person and will be missed by all. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 in the Glendale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
