Mark A. Flanagan - Adel

Mark Alan, Flukie, Flanagan of Adel, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, February 17th surrounded by his loving family and dog Buddy. Mark grew up in Humboldt, Iowa, and graduated from high school there in 1972. He was an accomplished musician and played in several bands thru the years along with his brother Dennis (JD). He married Gail Fitzgerald on September 21, 1979 and became a father to her sons Nelse and Eric Christiansen. The family made their home in Adel and Mark worked as a graphic artist after graduating from DMACC in 1984. He loved fishing and getting away on weekends with the family and friends on Lake Ponderosa. Those who knew him will always remember quick wit and great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Gail, sons Nelse (Michele) Mackenzie, Madison and Kaden, son Eric and grandson Dane. His brother Dennis (JD) and sister Susan Wildt, and a very special thanks to Eric's girlfriend Kimberlee who has helped us out so much.
