Mark Mayer

Mark Mayer, 51 of Estes Park, Colorado (Formally of Des Moines) passed away on April 16, 2019 at his home in Estes Park with his family by his side. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. A visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Mark was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on January 8, 1968 to Larry and Rosemary Mayer. He was a 1986 graduate of Marshalltown High School. He was married to his wife Wendy for 30 ½ years. Together they had 2 daughters. Mark worked at Quick Supply in Des Moines as a warehouse manager from 2007-2017. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, working in the yard, and spoiling his dog Riley, children and grandchildren. He loved the mountains and Colorado and enjoyed vacationing there. He was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. He is survived by his parents, wife, children Lainie Fox (Dennis Blackwell), Abbie (Andrew) Mayer; brother, Chris Mayer; grandchildren, Eva, Ivy, Bryson, David, Wyatt, and a grandbaby boy on the way. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryker.
