Marsha Rogers, 80 of Winterset, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, June 9, 2014 at her home. A visitation with family present to receive friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family will be appreciated and on-line condolences may be made to the family at www.ochiltree.com. Marsha Louise Ingram was born March 3, 1934 in Fort Smith, Arkansas; the daughter of Marshall and Katherine (Morley) Ingram. When her future husband was serving in the United State Air Force the two met and were married on December 17, 1949 in Reno, Nevada. They celebrated 62 years of marriage. Marsha was a homemaker, raising her children and she also worked outside the home as a CMA for many years. She worked for several nursing facilities and retired from Westbridge Care and Rehab in Winterset. Marsha enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. She also loved camping, fishing, and hunting for mushrooms. All this said, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Marsha is survived by her five children, Kathy (Dennis) Allsup of Winterset, Alicia (Ron) McDonald of Winterset, Patty (Doug) Slagter of St. Charles, Scott (Teresa) Rogers of Winterset, and Julie (Scott) Davis of Creston. She is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Crosby of Biloxi, MS and Mary (Tony) Bashelier of Fallon, NV; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; a son, Marshall “Sam” Rogers and a grandson, Wade Jones.
