Mary Ellen Baskerville

Mary Baskerville, age 61 of Perry, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at her home in Perry, IA. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday October 5, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Mandarin Caf located at 1117 Second St. in Perry. Burial will take place in the Violet Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials will be given to her family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Mary Ellen Baskerville was born on April 7, 1961, at Iowa City, IA to Robert William and Elizabeth Ann (Kelly) Baskerville. She attended school at St. Patrick's Catholic school and graduated at Perry High School. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Dallas County Hospital, and then as a Resident Treatment Worker at Woodward Resource Center. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, going to garage sales and thrift shops, watching murder mysteries, cooking chicken dumplings, listening to 60's and 70's music and going to visit her aunt Jean in Illinois. Mary especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great niece. When younger she played softball. In death she rejoins her parents Robert William and Elizabeth Baskerville, sister, Lisa Blitz, brother-in-law Steph Blitz, a sister, Jean Johnson and her mother-in-law Mildred Sapp. Left to cherish Marys memory are her, children, Melissa Sapp and Regina Ebert, grandchildren, Jazmeira, Jalissa, Johnny and Johanna Gines and Chloe Ebert, siblings, Kathleen Baskerville, Perry, IA, Robert (Jo) Baskerville, Texas, brother-in-law Donald (Shari) Johnson, Story City, IA, life partner Reggie Sapp, Bouton, IA, niece Kali Blitz, great niece Klaire Blitz, nephews Seth Blitz and Hyson Blitz, her cat Jesse and many friends and neighbors.
