Mary Lehmer, 77, passed away January 4, 2024 at Accura Healthcare of Newton East in Newton.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at New Bridge Church in Winterset. The family will greet friends one hour prior, beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
Mary Louise Lehmer was born in Dubuque, Iowa on April 17, 1946, the daughter of Edward and Estelle (Wilhelm) Jacobsmeyer. She was united in marriage to Tom Lehmer on November 8, 1965 in Des Moines. Mary was a devoted homemaker and spent most of her life in East Peru, Iowa.
She is survived by her sons, Louis Lehmer and Jim Lehmer; and siblings, Richard Jacobsmeyer and Rita Kress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Estelle Jacobsmeyer and her husband, Tom.
