Mary Price “Pricie” Warren passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 25th, just six days prior to her 90th birthday. Born August 31, 1928 in Alabama, she graduated from State Teachers College in Troy, Alabama before marrying Monroe Warren in 1950. They lived in Schenectady, New York and Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Adel, Iowa in 1967. Pricie was a popular teacher in Adel during the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, and was a member of the Adel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, cooking, reading, singing, and was an avid fan of all her family’s activities. In later years, Pricie treasured her Ipad, which was her link to the world. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Jeff) Bird, Alison (Mike) Crannell, and Edith (Mark) Hantsbarger; grandchildren, Mindy (David) Huntoon, Amy (Dave) Belchak, Scott (Anne) Crannell, Adam (Michelle) Crannell, Christy (Julie) Wiseman, and Sara Letsch; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Grace, Gabe, Jon, Isaac, Ziah, Jadon, Thias, Ellie, Abner, Makayla, Jordan, Lewis, Lukas, and Kaleb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Warren, and her brother Joe Bob Stephenson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday August 31st at the Adel United Methodist Church with a private family burial at Oakdale Cemetery. Family will greet friends at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home-McCalley Chapel in Adel on Thursday August 30th from 5-7 PM with a prayer service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adel United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.caldwellparrish.com.
