Mauricio Ruiz Quintana

Mauricio Ruiz Quintana, 26, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2020. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 28, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. Mauricio was born on May 21, 1993 to Saturnino Blas Ruiz Quintana and Maria Quintana Gonzalez. Mauricio was born and raised in Mexico. He moved to Des Moines, Iowa in April of 2010. He worked at Glen Oaks Country Club, La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, Viva Mexican Restaurant, and Stone General Masonry. He was a responsible person, hard worker, and a great friend. Mauricio is a part of many great memories of adventures that his family will forever treasure. The biggest treasure he left behind was his beautiful little girl, Natali. He was such a caring and loving father and will be missed tremendously. Mauricio is survived by his girlfriend, Jocelyn Chavez; his daughter, Natali Ruiz; his parents, Maria Quintana Gonzalez and Saturnino Blas Ruiz Quintana; his siblings, Lucia Ruiz, Tomas Ruiz, Eva Ruiz, Maribel Ruiz, Cecilia Ruiz, Teresa Ruiz, and Melisa Rhuiz He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Abudon Ruiz, Carmen Quintana, Ines Quintana, Leonarda Gonzalez; and his siblings, Teresa Ruiz and Saturnino Ruiz.
