Max C. Beverlin

July 29, 1926 — February 19, 2003

Max was born in Peru, Iowa on July 29, 1926, the son of C. J. and Estina (Lorimor) Beverlin. His marriage to Dorothy Crawford took place on September 1, 1946 at the Church of Christ in Winterset, Iowa. Max moved to central Florida from Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1986. Max was a real estate broker and a general manager of his son’s film equipment rental company. He was a member and an elder of the Fort Dodge Presbyterian Church as well as the Presbyterian Church of the Lakes in Orlando. He was also a member of the Lions Club of which he was a past president and he was a former Rotarian. He was also a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Beverlin of 56 years of Orlando, Florida; his father, C. J. Beverlin of Winterset, Iowa; two daughters, Denise Kern of San Antonio, Texas and Debra Armstrong of Winter Garden, Florida, a son, Robert Beverlin of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Jack Beverlin of Herscher, Illinois and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. June 23, 2003, at Penn Center Cemetery Service: Memorials may be directed to the AmSouth Bank's Memorial Account. These funds will be used to send a deserving underprivileged youth to baseball camp as well as founding a project to remodel kitchen facilities at the Presbyterian Church of the Lakes in Orlando.
