Merlene Rynearson

Merlene Rynearson(Lewis), 77, of Lorimor, Iowa went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 4, 2024. Merlene’s wishes were to be cremated with no services and buried next to her husband, Clifford Rynearson in the Barney Cemetery in rural Madison County. 

Merlene was born on July 30, 1947 in Murray, Iowa to Merle Lewis and Grace (Beaman) Lewis. She was married to Richard Clifford “Cliff” Rynearson on May 24, 1965 in Grant City, Missouri. To this union, two children were born, Julie Ann Rynearson and Jeff Brian Rynearson. Merlene spent her lifetime making a home on their farm in rural Madison County, with multiple jobs in between times. 

Merlene is survived by her children, Julie of Lorimor, and Jeff (Brandy) of Montpelier, Virginia. She had three grandchildren, MaKayla Jo McNeely (Kevin Jr.), Trenton James Rynearson, and Emily Rose Rynearson, all from Montpelier, Virginia. She also had a special friend that helped her throughout her last years, Burt Rucker. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Rynearson; her parents Merle and Grace Lewis; and her siblings Richard, Darrell, Donald, Mary Lou, Earla, and Lou.
