Michael Dean Clayton

Michael Dean Clayton, age 52 of Waukee, passed away suddenly January 3rd at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20th at the Dexter United Methodist Church. Family will greet friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Burial services will be at a later date. Michael was born in the Adair County hospital on October 13, 1965 to Ray and Victoria (Griffin) Clayton. He was raised in the Dexter area and graduated for Dexfield High school in 1984.At the age of 48, Michael graduated from William Penn University with his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Michael was employed in Des Moines by Premier Midwest, where he was the property manager at the Lyon. He is survived by his parents, Ray and Vicky Clayton of Dexter; two sisters, Lora Russell of Stuart and Sherri Clayton of Dexter; brother, Dan and his fiancé Monica of Carroll; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Mike had an adopted family of the Callahans, Ken, wife Jennifer and their three sons, Christian, Zachary and Logan of West Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be directed to Michael’s family.
