Mike Bach, 67, of De Soto, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, surrounded by his family. After years of healthcare battles, he is finally at peace. He was born in Des Moines on March 14, 1950 to Vincent and Patricia Bach. The majority of his work life was with SuperValu Grocery Warehouse. He also worked for C&J Marine, Midwest Wheel, DART Paratransit and Walmart. For the past 15 years, he served as Pam’s Househusband, specializing in laundry and canine daycare. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pam Bach; children, Brian (Deb), Shantyl (Adam) and Josh; siblings; Deb (Frank), Nikki (Chris) and Charlie; grandchildren, Catie and Coleman; brothers-in-law, Rick and Rob (Chloe); beloved nephews, nieces and cousins and furry children, Max, Maggie and Dolly. Per Mike’s wishes, he will be cremated and no funeral services are planned. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 6th from 5-7 PM at De Soto United Methodist Church, 421 Dallas Street, De Soto, Iowa. Who cares where I worked? I am survived by my great friend, lover and wife, Pamela; Three great kids; Brian (Deb), Shantyl (Adam), and Joshua; two grandkids, Catie and Coleman; two sisters, Deb (Frank) and Nikki (Chris) and brother, Charlie. I was preceded in death by my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and Pee Wee. I loved to boat and fish. I will miss going to Table Rock Lake. Oh, wait! I can go any time now! No driving, gas, place to stay, no money to worry about…how fantastic! How could I forget my other kids, the four legged ones, Maggie, Max and Dolly. Well, that’s about it.
