Molly Ann George was born July 28, 1969 in Iowa City, Iowa and was adopted by parents Robert George and Ruby Ott on February 21, 1975, and died November 23, 2008, at the Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson, Iowa 39 Years, 3 Months, and 21 days. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Hastings Funeral Home, Jefferson, Iowa. Her friend, Mr. Bruce Webster of the Jefferson Church of Christ provided words of comfort Casket bearers were Fred Woodley, Richard George Dan Sayre, Curt Hastings, Kenny Millard, Tony De Mello, Robert Gustin, Howard Gustin, Sherry De Mello, and Joyce Anschutz. Music for her service was provided by Klarissa Blanchfield at the piano, played Going Home and Hymn of Promise with Karen Summerson singing The Rose. With interment in the Scranton Twp. Cemetery Scranton, Iowa. Molly went to school at The North Grade Building. She loved chocolate, music, animals, shopping, and perfume. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed anything feminine. Molly was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. She was taken care of by her brother, Bill George of Jefferson, Iowa. Molly loved to go for rides with Bill and visit with his many friends. Molly was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jennifer Rathers. She is survived by her brothers, Bill George of Jefferson, Iowa and Richard George of Chariton, Iowa; her sister, Brenda Maylone of Jefferson, Iowa; niece, Ashley Young of Muscatine, Iowa; nephew, Bo Young of Muscatine, Iowa; Richard's daughter, Julie; great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and many friends.
