Monique Tagliaferri

Monique Renee Grindler Tagliaferri, our beautiful mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly August 18, 2022 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born November 4, 1970, to Alan Ross Grindler and Linda Littlefield Gates in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Monique had a personality that was bigger than life and a smile that lit up the room. She loved unconditionally and quickly made friends with everyone whether young or old. Monique was a skilled cosmetologist and worked for many years by not only taking care of her clients, but by building life-long friendships with the people she served. She treated her friends like family and was always willing to help a friend by giving them a haircut or fixing them a delicious meal. The greatest joy of Monique’s life was being a mother. She loved her girls and was so proud of them. Monique’s family quickly expanded when she met Robert Patterson and she added his children to her life. She is survived by her three beautiful daughters: Tayler of Portland, Oregon; Madisyn of Valencia, California; and Maysen of San Diego, California. Partner, Robert Patterson and his children Amber, Robert and Brooke. She is also survived by her parents, brother Eric (Erin) Grindler; nephews, Carson and Reece Grindler; and step parents, Robert Gates and Doreen Grindler. Cremation services have been held and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
