He was 73 years old. Antonio was raised with his sister Teresa by their mother Josefina Ruiz. He received twelve years of education in Mexico. Antonio married Maria Gonzalez in 1964 and they were blessed with four sons and two daughters. In addition, they adopted another daughter to love. While in Mexico, Antonio owned and operated a restaurant. The couple moved to Iowa in 1996, and over the years, his children and their families followed. He had retired from IBP in Perry and being very ambitious, went to work for LBP in Earlham. He enjoyed traveling with his family and after playing soccer in younger days, shared his passion for soccer with his family. Antonio also enjoyed basketball. Above all, Antonio loved his children and grandchildren and they loved him. He could always spread cheer with his great sense of humor. Antonio was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Josefina and his dear sister Teresa Ruiz only a few hours prior to his own death. Antonio is deeply missed by his wife Maria Eugenia Gonzalez de Ruiz of Perry; children: Arnulfo Antonio Ruiz; Fernando Ruiz (Sara Ruiz); Maria Guadalupe Ruiz (Bernardino Vargas); Patricia Maria Eugenia Ruiz (Gerardo Hurtado); Liney Alcala; Morelos Antonio Ruiz (Guadalupe Nunez); Walter Adrian Ruiz (Mariela Heredia); and his beloved grandchildren: Giovanni Ruiz; Deyci Ruiz; Baruby Salgado; Eugenio Ruiz; Janeth Salgado; Atzimba Ruiz; Ithzel Ruiz; Fernando Ruiz; Euridice Salgado; Fernando Alcala; Jason Hurtado; Jennifer Ruiz; Danery Alcala; Brenda Hurtado; Anthony Ruiz; Sandy Hurtado; Gisselle Ruiz; and Abraham Ruiz; other relatives and friends.
