Barbara Ann Kipp, daughter of James Edward VanCleave and Fairy Marie Clark, was born August 16, 1937 in Yale, Iowa and died March 18, 2014 at Regency Park in Jefferson, Iowa, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 2 days. Barbara attended school in Yale where she participated in basketball, band and music. She graduated from Yale High School in 1955. On August 3, 1956 Barbara was united in marriage with Richard Frederick "Dick" Kipp in Manhattan, Kansas where he was stationed with the military. They lived in Manhattan for one year and then moved to Yale Iowa in 1957. They were the parents of one son David. Barbara was a house wife who took care of her children until they both were out of school. She worked at JC Penneys in Perry and as a nurse's aide for the Greene County Medical Center. She also worked for an insurance company in Des Moines and for a time worked for Franklin Manufacturing in Jefferson, Iowa. She enjoyed camping; fishing and motorcycles, and had ridden all over the United States including Sturgis with Dick. She was a member of the Yale United Methodist Church and UMH. She was a Pythian Sister as well. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law Delores and Leroy Helle. She is survived by her husband Richard Kipp; her son David of Creston; two grandchildren, Travis and Shaylen of Iowa City; one great granddaughter Aria Faye Kipp; her sister Roberta Russell of Jamaica; brother Lee VanCleave (Frances) of Perry; brother-in-law Eugene "Butch" Kipp (Karen) of Yale; as well as several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. No Services will be held.
