Myrna Alice Baird

Myrna Alice Horn Baird was born November 26, 1936, in Waukee, Iowa to Mat and Agnes (Lewis) Horn, and was called to her eternal home also on November 26, 2021, 85 years to the day from her birthday. She lived her early years in Waukee and Adel, and her later years in Des Moines and Urbandale. She graduated from Waukee High School in 1954 as class valedictorian and from Drake University School of Pharmacy in 1958. She maintained her pharmacy license throughout her lifetime. She was active in the ministries of Creekside Church, Bible Study Fellowship, and Dress-A Girl DM. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and brothers Russell, Robert, and William. She is survived by Husband Tom, daughters Ann Krogan (Dave), Lynn Rupp (Steve), and Amy Johnson (Mike), by grandchildren Kelsey Jacobs, Keriann Cox, Braden Rupp, and Levi Johnson, great grandchildren Beckett and Vivian Jacobs and Everett Cox, and numerous nephews and nieces. A visitation will be held at Creekside Church, 2743 – 82nd Street Place, 4-6:30 pm, Friday, December 3, and the memorial service, also at Creekside Church, 11 am, Saturday, December 4. Memorial contributions may be sent to Creekside WMO (Women’s Missionary Outreach), Dress-A-Girl DM, or Animal Lifeline of Iowa.
