Myrna Moore, 85, of Winterset, passed away at her home on Friday, December 23, 2022.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the North McDonald Cemetery. Myrna was born on November 5, 1937 to Clarence and Geneva (Addy) Little in Winterset, Iowa. She was a graduate of Winterset High School in 1956. Over the years, she worked at Montross Pharmacy, Casey’s General Store, and most recently, Winterset Care Center South prior to its closing. She was first married to Larry Hope until his passing in 1974. She was then married to James Moore and the two were united up until Jim’s passing in 2020.
Myrna enjoyed bowling in the women's bowling league years ago. She and Jim also took many road trips on their motorcycle together. Myrna loved her many Boston Terriers she had over the years, and all were named Tina. She also liked to maintain her yard and took great care of the outside of her home. She was a giver and took care of her mother when she became unable to care for herself. Family was very important to Myrna as she loved all of her kids and grandkids.
Myrna is survived by her son, Rodney (Sherry) Hope; daughters, Rhonda Shoafstall, and Sheryl Moore; brothers, Donald “Corny” (Marilyn) Little; grandchildren, Brandon Richards, Brandi (Tyson Donham) Jackson Morris, Clinton (Megan) Hope, Spencer (Katty) Hope, Justin (Crystal) McDonald, Krista (Dan) McAllister, and Jamie (Matthew) Krogmeier; great grandchildren, Dayton and Denim Morris, Bailee and Mariah Richards, Carson, Callie, and Corbin Hope, Hayden and Baby girl Hope, Gabriella, Gracelyn, Mayrose, Rockwell and Evanora McAllister, Lawson and Addyson Krogmeier, and Korbyn Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Larry Hope and Jim Moore; sons-in-law, Reggie Miner and Dennis Shoafstall; brothers, Charles “Vernon” Little and Harold Little; sister Ruth (Babe) Little Johnston; and great grandson, Dallon Morris.
