Nancy Joan Hilpipre

Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Nancy Joan Hilpipre, 90, of Perry. Nancy died February 22, 2022 at the Perry Lutheran Home Eden Acres Campus. Graveside Services will be held 1:00 Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn. Nancy Joan Hilpipre, daughter of Carl and Violet Hudgins, was born on June 2, 1931 in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She passed away February 22, 2022 at Eden Acres in Perry, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 20 days. Nancy grew up and went to school in Eagle Grove. After graduation she worked at a local dry cleaner, and grocery store. She was united in marriage with Lloyd Hilpipre on August 6, 1958 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Llyod and Nancy moved to Bellflower, California in 1964 where she worked as a drug store pharmacy clerk for 20 some years. Following retirement in 1991, they moved back to Iowa and made their home in Perry. Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time her family especially her dogs whom she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in 2008, parents, son Robert in infancy, and sister Ruth Freeman. Nancy is survived by her brother Jerry Hudgins (Phyllis) of North Carolina; sisters Mary Jane Hilpipre of Minburn, Donna Arthur of California, and Carla Sheriff (Donald) of Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her family would like to thank the staff at The Lutheran Home Eden Acres and Suncrest Hospice for their care and support.
