Nancy Jane (Hines) Mountain, 70, of Macksburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Azria Health Winterset. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February18, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Macksburg United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Moon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to be given to Azria Health Winterset for resident activities and other items that Nancy enjoyed. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.caldwellparrish.com Nancy was born on May 17, 1951 to David and Norma Jane (Kirk) Hines in Winterset, IA. She attended school in Lorimor through 3rd grade until the Winterset School District reorganized. She then attended school at Winterset through her graduation in 1969. She then went on to school and graduated from the Americana School of Beauty in Des Moines. She worked as a cosmetologist in Winterset and later opened her own shop in Macksburg. She was united in marriage to Clark Mountain on July 14, 1972 and they made their home in Macksburg. Their daughter Amanda Jo was born September 6th 1975 and has been a source of pride and joy to both her parents. Nancy enjoyed traveling with Clark as they attended antique tool meets all over the United States. Her beautiful embroidery work was shared in the many quilts and tea towels she made for her friends and family. Her biggest joy came from entertaining and cooking for friends and family. She was known far and wide for her tasty home cooked meals. She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading and caring for loved ones. She enjoyed her friends and neighbors and being a part of the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark; father, David; step-father, Ronald Woodley; grandparents, Joe and Susie Kirk, and Carl and Louise Hines. Left to mourn her is her daughter, Amanda (Gary Smith) Mountain, Kevin (Ann) Mountain, Dawn (Ronnie) Henderson, Jessica Jones and her light, Lane Jones; mother, Norma Woodley; sisters, Lynn (Fred) Hauser and Holly (Don) Schutz; sisters-in-law, Eunice Haworth, Tommi (Jim) Orr, Christy Mountain and Ellen Mountain; 5 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
