Naomi Lacey

Naomi M (Gordon) McFarland Lacey of St Charles Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 22, 2021. She was born in her grandpa’s bed in Stuart Iowa in 1933 to Joseph and Coral (Brooks) Gordon. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from North High in 1952. She was a hardworking, loving mother who gave of herself unconditionally. Her faith in Jesus Christ was of utmost importance to her. We are inspired by her incredible strength and resilience. She is survived by her children; Debra (Philip) Raynor, Rickey McFarland, Vickie (Rick) Wetzel, Timothy (Mary) McFarland, and Lorrie (Kevin) Bates, her siblings: Yvonne Miller, Gloria Rose, Mary Wood, Ruth Henry, Paul Gordon, and Carol Klebs, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband/partner Merton C McFarland. Her children would like to express their gratitude to the staff of EveryStep Hospice out of Osceola/Winterset for all the loving care they provided to our mother and to us.
