Pat Johnson

April 22, 1937 — November 20, 2024

St. Charles

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Jean Johnson announce her passing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was 87 years old.

Pat was brought into this world by Floyd and Arlene (Atkins) Johnson on April 22, 1937 in Blackhawk County, Iowa at her grandfather’s farm. In her younger years, she attended the Barclay Presbyterian Church. Pat claims the most trouble she ever got into was pouring sand over her cousin Josephine which is likely the truth because people say she is so caring , sweet, soft spoken, kind, and never has a bad word to say about anyone.

Pat was an avid Hawkeye fan. She also loved the Eagles until Patrick Mahomes hit the ground running and she almost switched to being a Chiefs fan. She was a devoted employee of the phone company and later HyVee. Some of her favorite things were Alan Jackson, the color pink, chickens, decked out clothes and flashy jewelry. You could always catch her sitting in her rocker with a cat in her lap watching the birds feeding.

Pat is survived by her children, Rick (Michelle) Miller, of Ankeny, Tara Fresseman of Hampton, Rodney (Brenda) Amos of St. Charles, and Justin (Danielle) Johnson of Waterloo; sister, Karen Dobbs; 8 grandchildren, Tiffany, Lacey, Madisson, Mariah, Bryanne, Alexandra, Tilon, and Jesse; 12 great-grandchildren, Bella, Carter, Norah, Emma, Amos, Atlas, Vale, Beckham, Lydia, Josie, Edison, Benjamin, and one more on the way, Beau; and one great-great-grandchild on the way, Greycen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Arlene Johnson and a very loved and missed daughter, Kimberly Neuendorf.

Pat will forever be missed and loved by her family and close friends. They will always carry her memory in their hearts.

There are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
