Pat Stout

March 15, 1946 — May 30, 2020

Patrick "Pat" Stout, age 74 of Gravois Mills, MO and formerly of Perry, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. A private family graveside service will be held in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, IA. Memorials may be given in Pat's name and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Patrick "Pat" Everett Stout was born on March 15, 1946 at Perry, IA to Charles and Alice (Farley) Stout. He graduated from Perry High School in 1964. He was united in marriage to Sandra Lou Smothers at the First Presbyterian Church in Perry, IA on June 1, 1968.They made their home in the Berkley and Perry area. As a skilled craftsman, he worked as a brick mason for his entire career. During this time, he either volunteered his services or worked on several community projects that are still visible today. A few of the many projects are the Perry welcome sign located on the east side of town, the Pattee Park band shell improvements, and the brick pavers outside of the Perry Public Library. After a long career, he retired to the lake where he enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, Cardinal's Baseball and the Green Bay Packers. In death he rejoins his beloved wife Sandy and his parents, Charles and Alice. Left to cherish Pat's memory are his children, Jason (DeeAnn) Stout, Norwalk, IA and Misty (Jim) Von Behren, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Ashley Stout, Altoona, IA and Elivia Stout, Norwalk, IA, great grandchild, Kenleigh Stout, Altoona, IA, grand dogs, Ellie Mae and Fred, siblings, Willard (Kate) Stout, Charlotte Jane Berry, Michael (Jane Ann) Stout, Catharina Blaser, Sue Hegstrom, Dan Stout, Diana Brown, Andy (Diane) Stout, Anna Larsen, Sara Guzman and close friends Denny and Dixie Nelson.
