Pat, 90, died peacefully on the morning of April 28. Pat was born on August 30, 1927 at Iowa Methodist Hospital to Marion F. (Geisinger) and William E. Fowler. She was a proud graduate of East High School (Lee Township Against the World!!) Pat began working at Equitable Life Insurance Co. following her graduation, and shortly thereafter, met Leo at the skating rink. They were married in November 1946, which began 71+ years of love and devotion to one another. Pat and Leo enjoyed spending time together traveling, camping in the great outdoors, taking family vacations, square dancing and playing Canasta with friends. Pat was very active in First Baptist Church of Johnston where she made many lifelong friends. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to everyone she knew. Pat was honest and frank. She was organized and down to earth in her approach to all people and all things. Pat was definitely the one in charge of keeping her family in line, had a good sense of humor and enjoyed being teased and dishing it out. Pat is survived by her best friend, Leo; her daughters, Beve Cleeton Moulin (Willie Jones), Linda Cleeton Steele (Doug); brother, Norman (Mary) Fowler; several nieces and nephews including: Dan Blome, Carol Fowler, and Bruce Fowler; and grandson, Jonathan Moulin. Pat was preceded in death by her parents: sister, Betty Fowler; sister-in-law, Edna Blome; and nephew, Randy Blome. A Memorial Service for Pat will be held at First Baptist Church in Johnston at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 3, 2018 with visitation at the Church to be held one hour prior to the service. A private family ceremony for interment of the cremains will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens at a later date. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by St. Croix Hospice and Urbandale Care Center. We also want to acknowledge our devoted cat friends, Pepper and Sassy who stayed by mom's side when she needed them most. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Johnston, or the charity of your choice.
