Paul Crawford

Paul Crawford, 77, of Dexter, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Winterset. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Ochiltree Funeral Service with a funeral service to follow beginning at 10:30 a.m. that Tuesday. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Madison County Ambulance and online condolences can be left at ochiltree.com. Paul Crawford, son of Cash A. and Merle Ellen (Beaman) Crawford, was born April 12, 1940, in Winterset. He attended country school in Adair County and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1958. Paul enjoyed living a simple life caring for God’s creation as a farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. Paul took great pleasure in conversation and engaging with whomever he met, preferably on his front porch. Paul is survived by a sister, Ann (Dick) Hoadley of Winterset, three nieces, a nephew and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Laura Mae Hildebrand.
