Paul Koster

Paul Koster, 55, of Winterset, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2020 at MercyOne Hospice in Johnston. Paul was born August 8, 1965, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Urban “Barney” and Pat (Scanlan) Koster. He served 32 years in the Air Force with 30 years in Air National Guard. He was deployed several times overseas during those 30 years. Paul married Julia Myers in 1993. Together they raised their two wonderful children, Danielle and Derek. Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and his many friends. He is survived by his wife, Julie; his children, Danielle and Derek; his parents, Urban “Barney” and Pat Koster; his brothers, Leo (Cathy) Koster, Ray (Amy) Koster, and Neil (Frendie Macalandong) Koster; sisters, Julie (Mark) Main, Ann Koster, Gail (Mark) Peters, Beth Koster, Tami (Joel) Onken; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
