Peggy Ann Beals, daughter of Dale Delbert Moorhead and Velma Arlene Pearson, was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa on March 7, 1953. Peggy, a loving and doting wife, mother and grandmother, died November 28, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 20 days. Peggy married her loving husband John Beals Sr. on May 26, 1971. Together they were blessed with four sons: John Jr., Jason, Christopher, and James. As a family, they made their home in Bouton, Iowa twenty-seven years ago and stayed within the Dallas County community where they built a loving yet simple life. Peggy worked as a resident treatment worker in Woodward for twelve years before leaving there and joining her Tyson family in Perry where she retired two years ago after twenty five years of dutiful service. Peggy was affectionately known as someone that was easy to love by both her family and friends with whom she socialized with as much as possible. She was always known to put her family first as she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to play with her three grandchildren: Andrew, Rylee, and Jordyn whom she adored. She had a fondness for collecting porcelain dolls as well as mice figurines. She also loved to crochet, play board and dice games, and decorate beautiful cakes. Her memories will forever be cherished by her husband, John Sr., her children John Beals Jr. (Gina) of Johnston, IA, Jason Beals (Pamela) of Elkhorn, WI, and Christopher Beals of Bouton,IA, her brothers and sisters Flora Sinkuler (Gary) of Perry, John Moorhead of Rippey, Maxine Bauer of Perry, IA, June Elston of Woodward, IA, Jim Moorhead (Ruby) of Texas, Donna Jesse(Art) of Poway, California, Valerie Griffith (Troy) of Perry, IA, and Penny Carstaphen (Chris) of Perry, IA, three grandchildren: Andrew Beals, Rylee Beals, Jordyn Beals as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis Moorhead, Parents-in-law Albert and Bonna Beals, and son James Beals, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be sent to or left at the funeral home for later designation by the family.
