Peggy Diane Cummings

May 15, 1952 — February 23, 2024

Peggy Diana (Post) Cummings age 71 went to her eternal home on Friday February 23, 2024.

Peggy was born on May 15th, 1952, to Gerd and Wilma (Asbe) Post and grew up on the family farm in Rolfe, Iowa.

Peggy had many educational and professional achievements as a nurse but Peggy’s true JOY in life came from her love of Jesus and her family; her husband Mark Cummings, daughters Cassandra (Troy) Jones and Corrie (Eric) von Holdt. She held a very special  place in her heart for her four grandsons, Samuel, Jacob (Jones), Gabriel and Gared (von Holdt).

In her leisure time Peggy found pleasure in various hobbies such as scrapbooking family  photo albums, needlework, crocheting, and she loved her flower gardens. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on the swing with Mark and enjoying their backyard.

Peggy is survived by her brother Gary Post and his wife Becky of Des Moines, Iowa and her sister Nancy Loehr and her husband Kent of Fort Collins, Colorado. Her nephew Glen Post, his wife Sasha and their daughter Stella. Her niece Stephanie Harris, her husband Jake and their daughter Annie and son Cole. Also, step siblings Marcia and Wes Keil as well as many beloved cousins.

Peggy lived a life filled with passion for her faith and family. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, hard work, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of  knowing her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
