Pete Annis

Pete Annis, 57, of Lorimor, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Greater Regional Health in Creston.

Hiram “Pete” Annis II was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 2, 1967, to Hiram "Sonny" Annis and Mildred Wimmer Annis. He spent his working years as a heavy equipment operator and was well known as a jack of all trades. His skills extended beyond heavy machinery, as he also worked in carpentry and concrete. He was a proud member of both the Operators Union and the Labor Union, and he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Pete was so proud of his girls and loved them so much he was also the best grandpa.

He leaves behind partner, Kelly Hudson; his father, Sonny Annis of Lorimor; daughters, Brittany Copper of Adair, Tiffany (Vance) Misel of Lorimor, and Taylor McMurry of Des Moines; brother, John (Lisa) Annis of Des Moines; and grandchildren, Sullivan McMurry, Franklin Misel, Raymond Cardenas, Luciana Ayala, Lola Ayala, and Dallie Lynn Hoffman; and brother-in-law, Bob Bullock.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred; and his sister, Tammy Annis-Bullock.

Pete was a dedicated and hardworking man who lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A visitation with family present to receive friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
