Services are pending at this time. Phyllis Anne Moss, daughter of Phillip Ores Zimmerle and Ruby Cathlena Mullins Zimmerle, was born November 20, 1946 in Jefferson, Iowa. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1965, then went on to Cosmetology School. Phyllis married Jerry Dean Moss on March 10, 1973 and instantly became a family of 4 with his two children Jeri Lynn and Jay Dee. She enjoyed painting, traveling with Jerry, and especially loved her rescue dogs. Phyllis was a member of the Minburn City Council and on the committee to move the depot in Minburn. She died November 14, 2022 at Mercy West Lakes in Des Moines, Iowa. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry in 2019, sister Sharon Conant, brother Francis Wayne Zimmerle, and sister-in-law Rosella Zimmerle. She is survived by her stepdaughter Jeri Hudnut (Rich) of Van Meter, stepson Jay Dee Moss (Lisa) of Baldswinsville, New York, four grandchildren: Megan Hudnut, Brit Woodside (Matt), Joel Moss (Michelle), and Justine Werner (AJ), one great-grandson Henry Woodside, brothers Howard Edwin Zimmerle (Deborah) of Fort Dodge, and William Robert Zimmerle, brother-in-law Roger Conant of Jefferson; nieces and nephews: JoAnna Neff, Nick Zimmerle, Phillip Zimmerle, Dawn Taylor (John), Howard Zimmerle Jr. (Sara), and Bill Zimmerle Jr. (Carrie); other relatives and many friends.
