She was preceded in death by her parents, Burl her husband, William on March 15th, 1986; a son Stephen B. Woodman on December 9th, 1976; a sister Marjorie Datwyler; and a brother Wendell See. Phyllis was born in Madison County, Iowa on November 18th, 1923, the daughter of Burl E. & Cecil M. (Brown) See. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1941. She lived and worked in California during WWII, returned to Iowa, then moved to Texas in 1949. She married William E. Woodman in Austin, Texas and lived in San Antonio, until returning to Iowa in 1976. To this union one son was born, Stephen, on September 19th, 1951. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winterset, Susanna Circle, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the American Legion Auxiliary, as well other organizations. Visitation: She is survived by a step-son, Bill Woodman, Jr. & wife, Nancy of Mickleton, New Jersey; two nephews Alan See & wife Vicky and Keith Datwyler & wife, JoAnn all of Peru, Iowa; sister-in-law Florence Krohn of Prairie City, Iowa; and eight additional nieces and nephews on her husbands side.
