"RJ" McChesney age 2 days, of Perry passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines IA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Perry,IA ..Memorials will be given to the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. RJ Edward McChesney entered into this world with a flurry on November 7, 2023, and was quietly placed in the arms of God just two short days later on November 9, 2023. Although he only was able to stay for 54 hours, he touched many hearts. From the staff in labor and delivery to NICU to the post-partum floor, RJ stole many hearts and left many tears flowing. RJ is survived by his parents, Conner McChesney and Holly Stone, Perry, IA, big brother, Leon Stone, Panora, IA, paternal grandma, Dawn McChesney, Perry, IA, maternal grandpa, Rick Stone, Moore, OK, maternal grandma, Jennifer Jones, Des Moines, IA, uncles Wyatt and Tyler McChesney, uncle Lucas, aunt Katie Jensen, Panora, IA, many great aunts and uncles along with cousins, and every life he touched in between. RJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Bob McChesney Jr., uncle, Jacob McChesney, and great grandparents as well as great uncles and aunts on both sides.
