Ralph Duckworth

Ralph E. Duckworth passed away May 3, 2018.  He was born January 10, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wilma W. (Phillips) and Ralph E. Duckworth, Sr.  His passion was his company, Duckworth Construction.  He built affordable housing, duplexes and apartments.  Later in life he was President of KDMI-FM Radio.  He has one son, John, whom he adored.  He loved spending time at Clear Lake, Iowa with his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years Susan, son John (Kathy) and two wonderful grandsons, Johnny and Nicholas, as well as his sister-in-law Lila and niece Cindy and nephew George.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard.   Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. A private family burial will take place on Tuesday.
