Randy Caldwell

Randy Alan Caldwell, 61, passed away at Adel Acres Nursing Home in Adel Iowa on March 16th, 2022 after a long illness. Randy Caldwell was born on October 11th, 1960 in Des Moines, IA. Randy was raised in Ankeny IA, and attended the Ankeny School system through the 8th grade. In 1973, due to his father’s work transfer, the family moved to Richmond, MI where Randy graduated high school in 1979. Randy was an outstanding athlete and received Michigan All-State recognition in baseball and basketball while attending Richmond High School. Randy also loved fishing and golf throughout his life. Randy took great joy in the company of family, particularly his nephews and nieces. After high school, Randy attended Michigan State University earning a BA in Communications. After graduating college, Randy began working in the building construction profession and continued to work in this field throughout his life. Randy began his building career in Michigan, also working on projects in California and Washington as well as several other states while operating out of Michigan. In 1998, Randy moved back to Iowa where he worked construction while also caring for his mother and father. Randy is survived by three brothers, Richard, Ronald and Robert, as well as one sister Kathy. Randy is preceded in death by this mother Darlene, father Robert and grandparents.
