Ray Tice

Ray Tice, age 88 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the Eden Acres Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Memorials will be given to Nudgers, Inc. 1316 2nd St., Suite C, Perry, Iowa and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com. Raoul "Ray" Leigh Tice was born on September 15, 1935, at Fremont, Iowa to Theodore Vernon and Pauline Sadie (Stephen) Tice. He graduated from High School at Searsboro, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Betty Gaynelle King at Oskaloosa, Iowa on July 10, 1955. He was part owner of Tice Feed and Grain in Lynnville, Iowa, was the manager at Walnut Grove Feed Store in Perry and drove semi for Cargill Feed Mill in Ankeny. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry. He enjoyed motorcycles, go cart racing, and spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In death he rejoins his parents, Theodore and Pauline Tice, Aunt Thelma Heitsman, siblings, Roger (Phyllis) Tice, Bud Tice, Harriet (Ben) Fisk, Jerry Tice, and Larry Tice. Left to cherish Rays memory are his wife of 68 years Gaynelle Tice, children, Cheri (Kent) Scheib, Tony (Holly) Tice, Nancy Tice, Mike (Joan) Tice, grandchildren, Blake (Jenica) Scheib, Kelli (Jeremy) Petersen, Ian Tice (Katlyn), Bonnie (Chad) Wright, Megan (Brian) Martin, Molly (Brent) Rowe, Daniel Graney, Emily Tice, Grant Tice, and Mason Tice, great grandchildren, Asher Scheib, Jimmer, Cam, and Pierce Petersen, Oliver and Finn Tice, Gabe and Gavin Wright, Michael Martin, and Brock, Berkley, and Luke Rowe, siblings, Janet Maudlin, and Dave (Penny) Tice, and many nieces and nephews.
