Renee Annette Cellan

Renee Cellan, of Des Moines, passed away unexpectedly on December, 4, 2022 at her home. She was 48.

Renee was born on October 26, 1974 to Marvin and Debbie (Chovanic) Folck in Osceola, Iowa. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1993. After graduation, she went on to work at Wells Fargo for over 20 years.

Renee was always a terrific artist. She always wished she could have pursued a career that allowed her to put her talent to work. She was also interested in mechanics and cars. She drove in the demo derby for many years. Renee was so good at the demo derby, they had to take her out of the women’s division and place her in the men’s. Lastly, Renee loved animals, especially her cats and dogs.

Renee is survived by her parents; son, Zach Baker; and daughter, Shayla Baker. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Annette Chovanic.
