Rhonda May Lincoln was born March 11, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Betty (Bishop) Lincoln. Rhonda was married to Tom McGaffey and later married Kenny Sanders and from these relationships, she was the proud mother to five sons. Rhonda was a graduate of Young Cosmetology in Cedar Rapids and worked as a beautician in Kalona for a time. Later she worked in the call center at General Dynamics, a student loan default company, a job she held for 20 years. She moved away from Winterset when she was 17 and for the next 40 years lived in Solon, Wellman, West Chester and Cedar Rapids and just recently came home to be with her mother in Winterset when her health was declining. Rhonda loved watching cooking shows, especially Rachel Ray; as well as collecting cookbooks. Saying that she loved animals would be an understatement! Whether it was a dog, cat, salamander, baby mice and even a tarantula…she loved them all and picked many strays in her lifetime. She was especially fond of her cat, Peanut. All this said, she was a devoted daughter, sister and mother who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Betty Lincoln-Fish of Winterset; five sons, Juston McGaffey (fiancée’, Stephanie Weston) of Griswold; John McGaffey of Wellman; Cody Sanders (fiancée, Madison Adams) of Cedar Rapids; Cory Sanders of Wellman; Colton Sanders of Solon; siblings, Bob (Tammy) Lincoln of St. Charles; Becky (Wade) Porter of Winterset; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Lyle Fish; sister, Barbara Ann Lincoln; and grandparents, Paul and Esta Bishop and Irene Lincoln.
