Rich Koehler - Winterset

Rich Koehler, 81, of Winterset, Iowa, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. As per his request his body has been cremated. Rich was born on February 10, 1931, at Winterset, Iowa to George and Lois (Clark) Koehler. He was a graduate of Winterset High School and had been the owner and operator of Koehler Plumbing and Heating in Winterset before his retirement. Rich was a lifetime resident of Winterset and had served with the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. Rich is survived by his wife, Betty Koehler of Winterset; sons, Douglas James (Janet) Koehler of Bettendorf and Rodney Alan (Darin) Koehler of Katy, Texas; one grandson and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois (Clark) Koehler; two brothers; and one sister. Memorials may be directed to his family.
