Richard Boll

Dick Boll, 87, died on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Bishop Drumm Care Center, Johnston, IA. Dick was born in Davenport, IA on July 24, 1928 to Joe and Marie Boll. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Dick started his career working at the Davenport Times in Davenport, IA, as a photographer. He then worked for the Des Moines Register for 31 years as a photoengraver and retired in 1993. Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann; children, Thomas (Jeanette), Daniel and Teresa Selberg; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and brother, David. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother; Nadine Boll, sister and brother in-law; Barbara and Arden Waetke. His cremated remains will be buried at McDivitt Grove Cemetery in Urbandale with private graveside services at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association - Great Iowa Chapter or to a charity of your choice in Dick's name.
