Richard Edwin Snyder, 87, died on Friday, June 20, 2014 in Des Moines, IA. He was born on November 5, 1926, in Peoria, IL, to Harry and Madeline (nee Dobbs) Snyder. Dick was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 246, and worked for many years at Allied Construction Services in Des Moines. He is survived by his children (Raymond, Dennis, Kristy and Steven), by his sister, Betty Wilson of Champaign, IL, and by Brigitte Knouse, his companion of many years. In deference to his wishes, no formal service will be held. Friends are invited to a remembrance to be held from 4-6 pm on Thursday, June 26, at the Caldwell-Raddatz Funeral Home: 8201 Hickman Road in Des Moines.
