Richard Emery Maxon

Richard E. Maxon passed away peacefully on October 29, 2020. Richard was born January 25, 1940 to Forrest E. Maxon and Marjorie VanAlstyne in Blue Earth, MN. Richard graduated from Boys Town High School in 1959. Richard is survived by his sisters, Marvel Torres of North Bend, OR and Dianne Matzke of Urbandale, IA; step daughters, Sherry Hayes, Jeannie Williams, and Tammy Scott; as well as three nieces and one nephew, nine step grandchildren, and seventeen step great grandchildren and numerous cousins. Richard's pride and joy was a 1956 Chevy pickup to which he restored and spent countless hours enjoying and taking to car shows. Richard also enjoyed wood working and created several beautiful pieces that he shared with his family and close friends. In accordance with Richard's wishes he will be cremated and interned at the VA cemetery in Van Meter.
