Richard L. Bohall - Adel

Richard Bohall died peacefully at Adel Acres, on September 3, 2013. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m. Richard was born December 20, 1942 in Des Moines to Burrel and Genevieve (Bettis) Bohall and grew up in Spring Hill, Iowa. Richard was married for 52 years to his high school sweetheart, Betty Ann Kirscher. Richard worked for Culligan Water Softner, was a longtime member of the Adel Fire department, and enjoyed water fighting, collecting toy tractors, and anything John Deere. Richard is survived by his wife; daughters, Shelly (Jeff) James and Kim (Kevin) Porter; son, Jeff (Jean) Bohall; brothers, Jim and Mike; sister, Billie (Gayle) Blackford; five grandchildren, and a beloved cat Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale, and daughter Julia Baldon. Memorial contributions can be directed to the AHeinz57 Pet Rescue in DeSoto.
